Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7 (Alaska) intends to award a sole source procurement to Ocean Marine Industries, Inc. to purchase one (1) Didson Acoustic Sonar Camera with the following specifications: Operating Freq 1.10 MHz Beamwidth (two-way): 0.4o H by 12o V Number of Beams 48 Range Settings Start Range: 0.75 m to 23.25 m in 0.75 m intervals Window Length: 4.5 m, 9 m, 18 m, 36 m Range-bin size relative to windowlength 8 mm, 17 mm, 35 mm, 70 mm Pulse length relative towindow 16 milliseconds, 32 milliseconds,64 milliseconds, 128 milliseconds Identification Mode Operating Freq: 1.80 MHz Beamwidth (two-way) 0.3o H by 12 o V Number of Beams: 96 Range Settings: Start Range: 0.38 m to 11.63 m in 0.38 m increments Window length 0.38 m, 2.25 m, 4.5 m, 9 m Range-bin separation 2.2 mm, 4.4 mm, 9 mm, 18 mm Both Modes Max frame rate (window lengthDependent 4 - 21 Frames/s Field of view: 29 o Remote focus 1 m to maximum range Power Consumption 30 watts typical Image Uplink: Ethernet and NTSC Video Dimensions: 30.7 cm long by 20.6 cm high by 17.1cm wide Weight in air: 7.3 kg (16.1 lb) Weight in water: 0.8 kg negative (1.8 lb) During manufacture and assembly of the Didson Acoustic Sonar Camera with the specifications above, Ocean Marine Industries, Inc. will lease the US Fish and Wildlife Service one (1) Didson Acoustic Sonar Camera July 23, 2004 through September 7, 2004. Upon compeltion of manufacture and assembly, and prior to the expiration of the lease term, the assembled sonar camera will be delivered to the Fairbanks Fish and Wildlife Office in Fairbanks, AK. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 30 days after publication of this notice.
