Description

The Bureau of Land Management intends to enter into the Little Canyon Mountain Stewardship contracting project with private persons or other public or private entities to perform services to achieve land management goals for public lands that meet local and rural community needs. The Little Canyon Mountain Stewardship Contract is located three miles southeast of John Day, Prineville District, Oregon. Items of work include: 2,032 mbf of commercial fuel volume removal; 1,850 acres precommercial thinning; 1,743 acres handpiling and burning; 107 acres machine piling; construct .5 miles of new road; 6 acres of road closure barriers and tree planting; .37 miles of road widening; 12 culverts installed. This solicitation will be posted electronically. Paper copies are no longer available. Estimated issue date is June 21, 2004.
