- Work to be performed under this contract consists of, but is not limited to, the following items of work: (1) reconstruction of a deteriorated stone breakwater along approximately 1500 feet of shoreline to the north of the existing stone breakwater; (2) mobilization and preparatory work to include transportation of barges, equipment and materials to the island; (3) prepare existing river bottom and shoreline surface; (4) provide and place approximately 14,500 cubic yards of stone to include core stone , under layer stone and armor stone over geotextile fabric to form a new breakwater; (5) provide Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Team for detecting and locating UXO. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) documents will be available on the Internet Web page on or about 1 4 June 2004 and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors shall download this IFB (including drawings) and all amendments (including drawings) from the Internet Web page at the following address: https:/ /ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after issue date of the IFB. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web page. All amendments to this IFB will be posted to the Internet Web page at the above address. Hard copies of the amendments wi ll not be furnished. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, contracto rs are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet Web page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notification of the IFB and amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB including any drawings and amendments. Bids will be opened on or about 14 July 2004 at 11:00 a.m. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $28.5 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is re quired. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs Central Contract Register (CCR) database before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
