Description
Statement of Work Demolition of Walls, Rooms 1007, 1008, 1009, 1011 and 1012 Building 2592, Annex A.1. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, material, labor and equipment to reconfigure rooms 1007, 1008, 1009, 1011 and 1012 by removing approximately 90 linear feet of sheet rock partitions. The removal shall include sheet rock from both sides o f the walls, all insulation and supporting studs. The project location is building 2592, Humphreys Engineer Center, 7701 Telegraph Rd., Alexandria, VA 22315. All on-site workers must be U.S. Citizens and Contractor shall provide names and Social Security Numbers of workers prior to arrival on the job site. Technical point of contact for questions or project visit (recommended) is Skip Fitzgerald, 703-428-6644, room 307-E in building 2592. Contractual POC is HECSA Contracting Office, 703-428-7153, FAX 70 3-428-8181. A.2. The Contractor shall remove sheet rock (both sides), all insulation and supporting studs in rooms 1007, 1008, 1009, 1011, and 1012 to provide one large room. Eighty-five lineal feet of walls to be removed. Walls are 8 feet high. A.3. The Contractor shall remove four (4) doors and install necessary supporting studs to install sheet rock and blank existing openings (see drawing). A.4. The Contractor shall remove existing (approximately 200 ft.) of plug mold receptacle strips from the walls and install thirty (30) double duplex outlets under the existing raised access floor. The existing receptacle circuits shall be reused. A.5. The Contractor shall remove approximately 95 linear feet of wallpaper and replace with government furnished wall covering. A.6. The Contractor shall repair all walls damaged by removal by patching with appropriate spackle compound. Finish shall include drywall preparation and painting with two (2) coats of paint to match existing. A.7. The Contractor shall install vapor barriers around all diffusers and in room 1007 (which shall remain in use) to provide a dust free environment during demolition and repair. B.2. Contractor shall install materials IAW EM 385-1-1, US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual, National Electric Code (NEC) and, 28 CFR Part 36 and Public Law 101-336 -Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). B.3. Contractor shall furnish the government a warranty for a minimum of one year for parts and service (at no additional cost to the government), including all labor and service calls if needed. Contractor shall also submit Manufacturers extended warra nties on equipment to the POC. B.4. The contractor shall not leave any areas in an unsafe manner and shall remove debris from the complex on a daily basis. B.5. Contractor shall verify measurements and site conditions. Contractor shall provide submittals (and be approved by the POC) for all equipment and materials prior to purchase. B.6. Any Government property damaged by contractor shall be repaired to a condition acceptable to the Government at no additional cost to the Government. B.7. All work shall be performed during normal duty hours, 0700 to 1700 daily or shall be coordinated with the P.O.C. for special work hours. B.8. Safety equipment shall be worn at all times. B.9. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all information of manufacture requirements, and shall install all materials and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's requirements. B.10. All work shall be done in a professional workman like manner. B.11. All material used for this project shall be new, and any requests to use equivalent parts and materials must be made and approved by the POC prior to purchase/installation of materials. B.12. Project shall not be accepted until 100 % complete and operational to the satisfaction of the POC (Skip Fitzgerald).
