Description: W017PM-04-R-0008 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Afghanistan Engineer District, intends to issue a multiple award indefinite delivery type contract for design/build construction for temporary and permanent primary and secondary power supply and distribution systems withi n the country of Afghanistan. Construction services shall include topographic surveys, system and subsystem design, power generation, distribution, operation and maintenance, emergency response, consulting, and various ancillary and related construction an d services. As a single award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract will be awarded to the successful offer utilizing a best value procurement process. The estimated value of the contract will be between $25-$100 million per year with options for four addi tional years. The source selection plan for the basic contract and individual task order awards shall be identified in the solicitation specifications, which is scheduled to be released on or about 20 June 2004.
