Description

This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of United States construction firms, Internatinal construction firms and Joint Ventures interested in submitting an offer on the below described project. To be considered a United States Firm, the firm must: be incorporated in the U.S., have its corporate headquarters in the US,have filed corporate and employment tax returns in the US for a minimum of two years, if required, has filed State and Federal income tax returns, if required, for two y ears and has paid any taxes due as a result of these filings; and the firm employs US citizens in key management positions. A construction surety will be required.The project will construct a multi-story facility built on pile foundations with a reinforce d concrete steel structure. Project includes exterior landscaping, architecture to match local area,demolition of existing facilities and is inclusive of roads, sidewalks, utilities and parking. CONTRACT PROCEDURES: Hard copies of both a technical and pr ice proposal will be required. At a minimum, proposals will be evaluation on past performance, experience and reasonableness of price.This Request for Proposal(RFP) will be issued to construction contractors only. Award will be based on a firm fixed pric e basis. The magnitude of this project is over $10,000,000.00. The tentative date for release of this RFP is 30 June 2004 with a tentative due date of 1 September 2004. NOTE: Construction firms interesting in receiving this solicitation shall submit a writ ten request to robyn.ratchford@usace.army.mil or by fax to 540-665-4033 to Ms. Ratchford. The request should include the company name and address, point of contact, phone and fax numbers and email address and must reference the solicitation number.
