Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, Denver, Colorado, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with EMA, Engineered Products Division, PO Box 10, Philomath, Oregon 97360 to provide a custom Rotating Drum Microstainer and Ultraviolet Disinfection Skid System. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the proposed acquisition is for a product which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one responsible source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1). Qualifications to support this sole source is that the custom filtration/UV skid shall (1) match existing equipment in the facility and have interchangeable consumable parts; (2) custom design to allow for tight hydraulic restriction and reduce the installation logistics; (3) proven reliability; and (4) specific nature of the equipment and it's application required to avoid negative effects upon the fish culture and subject to conditions which are not conducive to the existence of the endangered species program and in the wild after stocking occurs. Any firm who may meet these requirements are encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with those requirements. All responses received no later than the closing date of this notice will be given consideration by the Government. A determination to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government.
