Description

THIS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for unarmed guard services for minimum and low custody inmates at the Federal Medical Center located in Lexington, Kentucky. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561612 and the small business size standard is $10.5 million. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period may consist of a 12-month base period with four,12-month option periods. The services are for inmates requiring confinement in local contract hospitals while receiving medical treatment and/or inmate appointments/treatments at local medical facilities. A solicitation to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Research Questionnaire will be available on or about May 18, 2004, and may be distributed solely through General Service Administration’s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including the solicitation and/or amendments, may be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The response date for the Market Research Questionnaire is June 1, 2004. No collect calls will be accepted. Telephone or written requests for the Market Research Questionnaire may not be accepted. All responses to the Market Research Questionnaire should be faxed to (972) 352-4545 (Attn: Doug Fear).
