Description
The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about Thursday, June 3, 2004. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This project consists of performing rehabilitation work on approximately twenty sections of historic stonewalls at Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Lincoln, and Lexington, Massachusetts. There will be two main components to the work: 1) repair of the stonewalls; and 2) removal of vegetation that is damaging the stonewall or obstructing views of stonewalls. There will also be some removal of debris and burying or removal of large boulders. As the many different sections of stonewalls in this project are in various stages of disrepair, it is imperative for prospective offerors to visit all areas of the work so as to determine the actual amount of work needed for each stonewall. Construction performance period is 90 days. Estimated construction range: Between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS code 238140, $12 million. This solicitation is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation is a Request for Proposals and offerers shall be evaluated on their responses to the following criteria: 1) past experience working in an area with well-known historic and cultural resources; 2) demonstrated ability to perform and successful past experience in landscape projects and stonework of equal or greater complexity. The contractor must demonstrate familiarity with construction in environmentally sensitive areas; and 3) ability and qualifications to schedule and manage a project of this nature. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (18-MAY-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
