Description
This solicitation is being issued as Intent to Award on a sole source basis to the Center for Financial Research & Analysis Inc. (CRFA), 11140 Rockville Pike, Suite 640, Rockville, MD 20852 for the purchase of a web-based financial research subscription service in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. C.1 Scope. The U.S. Securities and Exhange Commission (SEC) requires a commercial web-based subscription service that provides research and analysis of corporate financial and accounting practices including the following: C.1.1. Full reports, news updates, and current news and analysis of SEC filings and important changes in accounting rules. C.1.2. Information on U.S. companies with a market capitalization of over $200 million with an emphasis on alerting investors and creditors about companies experiencing operational problems and employing unusual or aggressive accounting practices. C. 1.3. Reports on public companies with strong operational health and appropriate accounting policies. C.1.4. Information about foreign companies that are SEC registrants. C.2 Restrictions. The SEC?s requirement specifically excludes Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). The period of performance shall be for 12 months. Award is anticipated in May 2004. Interested parties are advised that no solicitation is available for this acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or to submit a capability statement to Debra Chapman at chapmand@sec.gov by 12:00 Noon on May 24, 2004. Accordingly the SEC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, CFRA.
