Description

This solicitation is for the modification of existing spaces in building 40 to accommodate the move of the Radiac Lab from building 456 at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. The work includes workshop and storage locations, piping, wiring, HVAC, controls, make-up air and exhaust fans, tiles, painting, proper shielding for walls, ceiling, floor, equipment, lead paint removal, ceiling, walls, slab, fluorescent lighting ballasts, asbestos, PCB, and all incidental related work. The added concrete walls shall be supported by screwed in place Hellical pile foundations. NAICS: 238110 Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors. Small Business Size Standard: $12 million. Estimated Price Range: $250,000 - $500,000. This solicitation will be issued unrestricted and subject to FAR 52.219-4 Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HubZone Small Business Concerns. The "Issue Date" and "Bid/Due Date" stated in this notice are estimated dates. The approximate solicitation release date is 01 June 2004. The solicitation will be available for download from the official website at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil in the Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) electronic file format. The Acrobat Reader is free and can be downloaded from the Adobe website. Only those contractors registered in ESOL, will be notified by e-mail upon availability of the solicitation and any amendments for download. The official Planholders List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. Contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in CCR may render an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts.
