- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, is seeking contractor(s) to provide technical assistance for implementation of Nutrient Management and Residue Management for Cropland in various counties in North Dakota. The intent of the Agency is to solicit the most efficient and effective manner to complete the requirements of this service. The contractor tasks will consist of technical assistance for design, installation and checkout of a complete nutrient management and residue management system.. The primary source of technical guidance in completing tasks under this contract will be the Nutrient Management ? Practice 590 and Residue Management ? Practice 329 A and B. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and support necessary to provide the services as solicited. Contractor will provide written plans and specifications that adequately describe the requirements to implement the practice. Certify that the design meets NRCS standards and specifications and complies with applicable laws and regulations. Work with client on required permits and compliance issues with all federal, state, tribal and local laws, regulations and NRCS policies during application. Contractor will enter practice application in NRCS Performance Results System. Contractor shall provide a Project Manager who is a Certified Technical Services Provider for Nutrient Management and Land Treatment: Tillage and Erosion. All contractors are required to be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to being awarded a contract by NRCS. The CCR database is the primary Government repository for contractor information required to conduct business with the Federal Government. The Contract period will consist of the base year and one (1) option years. The North Atlantic American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about May 19, 2004 A preproposal site visit will be held. Further information on the site visit will be provided in the solicitation.
