Description

The U.S. National Park Service intends to award a concession contract for kayak rental services within Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve for the period May 15, 2004 (or date of execution) through December 31, 2013. The NPS intends to award the concession contract to the following company: Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks, Inc. This contract will be awarded pursuant to section 1307 of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, 16 USC 3197 and 36 CFR 13.80-13.82. Generally, historical operators have a right to continue to provide the same kind and scope of service that they were legally engaged in providing prior to January 1, 1979 pursuant to 36 CFR 13.82(a). NPS has determined that this company is an historical operator and consequently is eligible to be awarded this concession contract non-competitively.
