Description: The U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has an UNRESTRICTED requirement for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, to include towing, labor and materials, for their research vessel KIYI. It is possible that multiple contracts will be awarded under this solicitation. Awards could be made for "Scheduled Maintenance" (Items 0001 and 3001); "Unscheduled Maintenance and Towing" (Items 0002 -0003, 1001-1002,, 2001-2002, 3002-3003 and 4001-4002); and "Dry Dock" (0004, 1003, 2003, 3004, and 4003). The KIYI is 107 feet, weighing approximately 290 tons. This vessel generally operates on Lake Superior and is moored in Ashland, Wisconsin. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 488390. It is anticipated that award of this requirement will be made for one (1) year with four (4) option years. The solicitation 04ERSS0063 will be available on or about May 11, 2004 and will be available electronically at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
