Description

The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, parts, services, tools, equipment, etc., to service, inspect, overhaul, and test three (3) Caterpillar Generator Engines, Model 3516, ab oard the Dredge Wheeler docked at US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District Wharf, 7400 Leake Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118. The Contractor shall be a Caterpillar authorized service representative and shall be able to prove this by documentation. The planned schedule for starting to overhaul the first engine will be in early November 2004. The other two engines will be overhauled during 2005 with the last engine being serviced no later than December 2005. Solicitation W912P8-04-T-0058 is being is sued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be available May 17, 2004. This requirement is being procured as a firm fixed price contract under FAR 12, Commercial Item. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 7699; the NAICS code is 811310. This solicit ation is issued as unrestricted. Copy of the solicitation will be available o n our website www.mvn.usace.army.mil. Request for this solicitation shall be in writing, stating the solicitation number, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accepted. Quotes are due on June 17, 2004 at 03:30pm. NOTE: Contractor must be registered with Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1 -800-334-3414 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Registering may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timel y award.
