Description

AMENDMENT TO COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR 105 RENTAL VEHICLES Solicitation Number FA4803-04-QA028 This is an amendment to the combined synopsis/solicitation FA4803-04-QA028, to add 7 rental vehicles, revised vehicle allotments, change delivery/pick-up dates, revised clause 52.211-8 Time of Delivery. Additional Rental Vehicle Criteria: Increase of 7 vehicles, from 169 rental vehicles to 176 rental vehicles Revised Vehicle Allotments: Vehicle allotments changes for 176 rental vehicles are as follow: one hundred thirty ((130) four passenger capable) sedans, thirty-eight ((38) seven passenger capable) Mini-Vans, eight (8) compact pick-up trucks. Revised Required Delivery/Pick-Up Dates: Delivery/pick-dates for 176 vehicles are as follow: ?On 24 May 2004, (1) Sedan, (2) Mini-Vans will be delivered? and ?On 28 May 2004, (2) Sedan, (5) Mini-Vans will be delivered? and ? 2 June 2004, (32) Sedans, (29) Mini-Vans will be delivered? and ?On 3 June 2004, (75) Sedans will be delivered? and ?On 7 June 2004, (8) Pick-ups, (20) Sedans, (2) Mini-Vans will be delivered?. On 23 June 2004, (95) Sedans, (8) Pick-ups, (2) Mini-Vans will be picked up, on 24 June 2004 (29) Mini-Vans, (32) Sedan and on 26 June 2004, (3) Sedan, (7) Mini-Vans will be picked up. This total requirement consists of (1) sedan, (2) Mini-Vans for 34 days (24 May-26 June), (2) Sedan, (5) Mini-Vans for 30 days (28 May-26 June), (32) Sedan, (29) Mini-Vans for 22 days (2 June-24 June), (75) Sedans for 20 days (3 June-23 June), (15) Sedan, (8) Compact Pickup, (2) Mini-Vans for 16 days (7-23 June). Revised Optional Clause 52.211-8, Time of Delivery: 52.211-8 -- Time of Delivery. As prescribed in 11.404(a)(2), insert the following clause: Time of Delivery (Jun 1997) (a) The Government requires delivery to be made according to the following schedule: REQUIRED DELIVERY SCHEDULE Requirement is for a total of one hundred sixty nine (176) vehicles, which includes one hundred thirty midsize (five passenger capable) sedan cars, thirty-eight (38) mini-vans, and eight (8) compact pickups between the inclusive dates of 24 May and 26 June 2004, a short-term rental period of varying delivery and pickup times. All 176 vehicles will be delivered to and picked up by the contractor at the same address, 321 Cullen Street, Shaw AFB SC. ITEM NO. Offers that propose delivery that will not clearly fall within the applicable required delivery period specified above, will be considered nonresponsive and rejected. The Government reserves the right to award under either the required delivery schedule or the proposed delivery schedule, when an offeror offers an earlier delivery schedule than required above. If the offeror proposes no other delivery schedule, the required delivery schedule above will apply. OFFEROR'S PROPOSED DELIVERY SCHEDULE ITEM NO. QUANTITY ON OR BEFORE (b) The delivery dates or specific periods above are based on the assumption that the Government will make award by 20 May 2004. Each delivery date in the delivery schedule above will be extended by the number of calendar days after the above date that the contract is in fact awarded. Attention is directed to the Contract Award provision of the solicitation that provides that a written award or acceptance of offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror results in a binding contract. Therefore, the offeror should compute the time available for performance beginning with the actual date of award, rather than the date the written notice of award is received from the Contracting Officer through the ordinary mails.
