Description

?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.? The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport intends to place a sole source contract with Nautronics Maripro, Inc., Goleta, CA for enhancements to six (6) Hydro-Acoustic Information Link (HAIL) systems. Nautronics Maripro, Inc., having designed, built, tested, and installed these systems is the only organization capable of the required enhancements. The enhancements require changing a portion of the HAIL electronics and software. The HAIL software is not provided with source code and it is controlled by a license agreement. This procurement is being processed using commercial procedures and a solicitation will be issued in less than 15 days. Any challenges to this sole source action should be brought to the attention of the Contracting Officer. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
