- Description: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to award a single contract for the following service: Parenting Program Services . The service will be provided at the Federal Medical Center, J Street Building 3000, Fort Worth, Texas 76127. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for the contracts for which they are eligible. The Contractor shall provide a program that supports the development and maintenance of positive relationships between inmates, their spouses or custodial parents and their children. These courses will be in addition to the courses that are already offered at the institution and will address the following subject areas: Parenting Skills, Skills for Family Support, Family Literacy Education, Substance Abuse Education, and Prenatal Care for Expectant Mothers. It is estimated that the services will be 31 hours per week combined. Combined is the Federal Medical Center and the Satellite Camp. The days per week and hours worked will be detailed in the statement of work. Each session is defined as (1) one hour. Total participation during the contract period is estimated as follows: Inmates (100), Visiting Spouses/Custodial Parents (150) and Visiting children (125). The Contractor shall provide at least one full-time and one part-time on site position to fulfill the requirements of the contract. These positions will act as the coordinator/recruiter/aide and shall be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the total parenting program. Their responsibilities will be outlined in the statement of work. The resulting contract will consist of (1) Base Year period from Effective Date Award through 12 months from Effective Date of Award and four 12-month option periods for renewal, if exercised. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be indefinite delivery requirements type contract with a firm-fixed unit price and be a single award. This solicitation is set-a-side for small business and all responsible quotes will be considered. The North American Industry Classification System code for this service is 611710 and the applicable small business size standard is $6M. The solicitation will be made available on or about May 27, 2004. Upon issuance, solicitation packages may be accessed electronically at this website. Hard copies of this solicitation will not be available as the site provides downloading instructions.
