Description

United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Renovate Insectory Lab. The project is located at USDA, ARS, MWA, OARDC, Wooster, OH. The work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to perform and complete the renovation of approximately 1,000 square feet of space in the existing Insectory Building. the work includes selective demolition of interior finishes, fixtures and masonry walls. The project also includes rebuilding of masonry walls, concrete, aluminum siding, interior finishes, doors and metal lab grade casework, new electrical distribution, lighting, receptacles and package HVAC units. The period of performance is 200 days. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Bonding will be required. Estimated price range is: Between $100,000 and $250,000. This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 236210 and the annual size standard is 28.5 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All requests for a solicitation package must reference IFB No. 5114-4-0700 and the contact name above. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about May 19, 2004, with opening date on or about 30 days later.
