Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Farmington Field Office, has a requirement for thinning 20 acres of Salt Cedar and Russian Olive Trees. The project is located west of Blanco, New Mexico in San Juan County, along the San Juan River, in township 29 North; Range 10 West; Sections 26 NW 1/4 and 27 N 1/2. The contractor is to provide all necessary material, equipment and labor to thin 20 acres of Salt Cedar and Russian Olive Trees. The contractor shall cut all Salt Cedar and Russian Olive trees, saplings and seedlings inside the flagged boundary, treat all stumps of cut trees with an application of the herbidcide Arsenal or Farlon 4, and chip/scatter all cut material that is less than 12 inches in diameter. work may be completed using mechanized equipment (feller-buncher, chipper timber axe) or by ahnd (chainsaws). Period of performance for this project is 75 days from date of award. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns and will be awarded on a firm fixed-price basis. Small Business firms must certify that they are either a business located in the State of New Mexico or certify to hire 51% of the workforce locally in New Mexico. This solicitation will be available on or about May 11, 2004. There will be a site visit on May 24, 200 at 10:00. Bid responses will be due on June 10, 2004. Bidders are requested to visit the Department of Interior (DOI) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov or the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizops.gov for a copy of the solicitation. You are requested to download this solicitation electronically from the DOI or FedBizOps website. Bidders shall register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov. This registration is necessary to receive notification of amendments, contract award, and will facilitate payment.
