Description
?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.? This is an amendment to combined synopsis/solicitation N66604-04-Q-3528. The following questions and answers are to be added to and be included in this synopsis/solicitation: Question 1. What are the material, coating and markings for the physical unit? Answer 1. Metal or hard plastic; must be able to deal with EMI from nearby sources. Question 2. Are there overcurrent protection requirements? Answer 2. Yes, no more than 60 Amps drawn by the unit as a whole. Question 3. What is the desired or required output connection method: barrier strip, plug in connectors? Answer 3. Preferably it?s terminal leeds or a simple (easily obtainable with no long lead times) plug. Question 4. What is the desired or required input connection method? Answer 4. Terminal leeds. Question 5. Are there manual interlock/disconnect requirements for each output? Answer 5. If available, yes but not absolutely necessary. Question 6. What are the Security requirements for TCP/IP interface? Answer 6. None needed at this time; however, unit and associated software should know how to deal with the fact that the connection will be wireless and may be lost/regained at any moment, sockets will drop out unexpectedly, etc?Offers must be submitted to Commercial Acquisition Department, Building 11, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Code 5912, Simonpietri Drive, Newport, Rhode Island 02841-1708 or may be faxed to 401-832-4820. Offers must be received by 2:00 p.m. on April 27, 2004. Offers received after this date are late and will not be considered for award.
