Description
The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential contractors capable of manufacturing a firing device which has the capability of firing pyrotechnic simulators with a variety of payloads, pyrotechnic simulators which produce several different effects, and or both. The subject firing device shall not exceed 26 pounds. It shall be capable of being fired remotely and be programmable. The simulators shall consist of one that provides a flash, bang and smoke effect, while the other must produce an effect easily distinguishable from the flash, bang, smoke version such as a colored smoke (black preferable). Respondents should currently possess a manufacturing capability to produce the items. A follow up detailed questionnaire may be provided to survey respondents and contractor site visits may be performed as a result of further analysis. Interested firms who feel they are capable of manufacturing the firing device, the pyrotechnic simulators or both, are invited to indicate their interest by providing to the U.S. Government a brief summary of their company's capabilities, including a brief description of facilities, personnel, past production experience and environmental compliance as it relates to the above criteria. Interested firms should provide the manufacturer's name, address, point of contact with telephone number, email address, size of business (small/large) and/or country represented. This information must be submitted by 3:00pm, on 4 May 2004 VIA EMAIL ONLY to: US Army TACOM-ARDEC, ATTN: LISA KING, AMSTA-AQ-APE,B.10 Picatinny, New Jersey, 07806-5000. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
