Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-22. T his solicitation is a small business set aside-100%; the NAICS is 332439; the small business size standard is 500 employees. This will be a firm fixed price contract. Item 0001 is for a Rotor Blade Box, MATERIAL: 5052-H32 Sheet (.125 inch thick), 6061-T6 A ngle; FINISH: High Gloss Black Powder Coat, exterior only; HARDWARE: Two (2), two-way breather valves with manual release button as manufactured by AGM container controls; ADDITIONAL FEATURES: Shall have sixteen padded surface mounted handles; twelve shal l be on the sides of the bottom half of the box for lifting and four on the lid for use in removing the lid. The box shall have eighteen surface mounted twist catches that will be mounted around the perimeter of the box to attach the lid to the bottom. Th e outside dimensions of the box will be approximately 30 inches wide by 14 ft 6 inches long by 10 inches high (not including the height of the forklift slots). The box shall hold six rotor blades, one control rod, and one drive shaft. NOTE: the box must b e water tight and sand tight. The Seal between top and bottom portions of box will be accomplished through the use of a one half inch thick closed cell foam. Rotor blades, drive shaft, and control rod will be seated in 4 pound dense foam padding specifica lly designed to support and cushion the contents. The box must be two way forkliftable and stackable. The dimensions of the blades that will go inside the box are 147 and one-forth inches long, 7 and one-forth inches wide, 1 inch thick at the trail end, a nd 2 and one-forth inches X 5 inches thick at the grip. The dimensions of the drive shaft that go inside box are 168 inches long X 3 inches round. The dimensions of the control rod are 154 inches long X 1 and one-half inches round. Delivery will be FOB des tination to Fort Campbell KY 42223; delivery date will by 30 days after receipt of order. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation/contract: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items with addendum to delete paragraph (e); 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, applies with paragraph (a) completed as fol lows: Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offer. All vendors are encouraged to submit drawings, schematics and descriptive literature as these materials alone will be used to determine the technical acceptability of all offers. Al l offers shall include a completed copy of the Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items. 52.212-5, Contract Terms and conditions to Implement Statutes and Exec utive Orders Commercial Items with exception of clauses at subparagraph (b):(1) thru (4), (6) thru (15), (20) thru (28), (30) thru (33); subparagraph (c): (1) thru (5). 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program. 252.232-7003, Electro nic Submission of Payment Requests.
