- Description
- Contractor to furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials as well as the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, and support to develop a historic context study of transportation networks that includes both culturally evolved roads and trails and designed and constructed roads and industrialized routes (i.e., railroads) located in the Powder River Basin region of Wyoming covering the general period of 1800-1955. The historic context shall provide a framework for the evaluation of these transportation routes in accordance with the requirements outlined in this Scope of Work and applicable National Register of Historic Places guidance. The context should address significant patterns of transportation such as ethnographically documented Native American trails that may have evolved into later Euroamerican transportation routes; Fur Trade, Exploration, and Military operations routes; Settlement, Stagecoach and Freighting transportation systems, Expansion Era Roads, Cattle Drive trails, Recreation and Tourism routes (including 'park to park' tourist routes); and Industrial transportation systems (including railroad lines and highways). The study shall be based on an analysis of existing information, rather than new field studies. Data should be obtained from previous studies, archival records, maps, or other published or unpublished materials. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
