- Description
- The USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), National Water Climate Center, located in Portland, OR, intends to solicit proposals for projects to develop three chapters (Greenhouse Gases, Tropospheric Ozone, and Odors in the NRCS National Engineering Handbook (NEH), Part 629, Agricultural Air Quality. This synopsis seeks to solicit interested applicants to address known gaps in agency air resources informaiton, air quality assessment technologies, and delivery of conservation assistance to NRCS Field Office and cooperators. This initiative supports NRCS conservation operations that address emissions from animal feedlots, agricultural burning, particulate matter concerns, assessment of greenhouse gases and training. The initiative also supports the air quality components of "a high quality environment providing benefits for individuals, communities and natural systems" in the NRCS 2000-2005 Strategic Plan. Contractors/participants expressing an interest should submit a proposal. The solicitation will be available on or about July 14, 2003, on the FedBizOpps (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
