Description
The contractor shall perform various aspects of a broad range of civil and military environmental and planning activities inside and outside the continent of the United States. Such activities may include, but not limited to: planning, engineering, environmental, social and cultural/archeological work. Engineering tasks may require experience in geological, civil, and environmental engineering. Environmental tasks may require experience in biological, chemical, geological and physical science. Th ere may be up to four contracts awarded from this solicitation. The total contract price including options shall not exceed $15,000,000.00. Duration of this contract is one-year (365 calendar days) with four one-year option periods. Work will be issued by negotiated firm-fixed price task orders. The Contracting Officer will consider the following factors in deciding which contractor will be selected to negotiate an order: performance and quality of deliverables under the current contract, current capac ity to accomplish the order in the required time, uniquely specialized experience, and equitable distribution of work among contractors. The contracts are anticipated to be awarded around mid September 2004. The Solicitation should be ready for release b y 5 May 2004. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. SIC Code 8999 applies. NAICS Code 541620 applies. If a large business is selected for this contract, it must comply with FAR 52.219-9, regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on that part o f the work it intends to subcontract. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation is via the Internet. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notific ation of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, as separate notifications for each am endment may not be sent to plan holders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Internet for amendments. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
