- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman, Florida, intends to issue solicitation RFQ30211-0023-4, for the requirements of: Underwear, boxer, with elastic waist, fly opening, 100% cotton or 50/50 blend, white only, first quality, American standard sizes, Large - 3X-Large; T-Shirts, 50/50 cotton/polyester blend, crew neck, white only, first quality, American standard sizes, 2XLarge - 8XLarge; T-Shirts, 50/50 cotton/polyester blend, crew neck, heather gray only, first quality, American standard sizes, XLarge - 8XLarge;T-Shirts, 50/50 cotton/polyester blend, crew neck, brown only, first quality, American standard sizes, 2X-Large - 8XLarge; Socks, tube, men's 19" tube sock, with welt top, fits men's shoe size 10-15, 85% cotton, 15% stretch polyester, white only, first quality; Laundry bags, mesh, draw string closure, color white only, must be 24" x 36", with ID Tag or Flag, first quality. This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination, delivery date of No Later Than May 17, 2004, required to the Federal Correctional Complex, 846 NE 54th Terrace, Coleman, FL 33521. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The Government reserves the right upon award to make formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be the most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered, prices being rated higher than past performance. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.204-6 Data Universal Numbering System and 52.204-7, Central Contract Registration, Alternate I. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL BE ISSUED. SUBMISSION OF QUOTATIONS: The Government intends to conduct an on-line competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by a third-party revers auction provider, FedBid.com. Auction #9663. FedBid.com has developed an on-line, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. Participants will submit a series of quotes that decend in price during the specified period of time. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote/offer to the series of quotes that descend in price during the specified period of time. The reverse auction will start on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and end on Tuesday, April 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. EST. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make an offer on-line for RFQ30211-0023-4. Offerors that are not currently registered to use FedBid.com exchange should proceed to http://www.FedBid.com/selectvendor.jsp to complete their free registration. In addition to submitting pricing information on FedBid.com, Vendors will be required to submit the following information on letterhead or business stationary, directly to the contracting officer: 1) Offerors Representations and Certifications (FAR 52.212-3) and must be received at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Correctional Complex, P.O.
