Description
Project consists of furnishing Architectural-Engineering Services for an Indefinite Quantity Contract for Type A (Investigation), Type B (Design) and Type C (Inspection of Construction) for construction projects at the Birmingham International Airpor t Air National Guard Base, Birmingham, AL and the Martin Air National Guard Station in Gadsden, AL. The A-E fees total cumulative amount of all delivery orders will not exceed $10,000,000.00. Each delivery order will not exceed $2,000,000.00. Delivery o rders may be issued for one year under this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract and may, at the Government's option, be extended for four years. Significant Evaluation Criteria in descending order of importance are: 1. Professional Qualificat ions (Architect, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Ennironmental and Geo-Technical Engineers); 2. Specialized experience and technical competence (Air Force and Air National Guard Design Criteria and Process Experience, Competence in Design of Var ious Facilities and Inra-Structures on an Air Base; 3. Capacity to accomplish work in the required time; 4. Past performance on contracts with Government and private industry projects in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performanc e schedules; 5. Location of A-E firm; 6. Volume of work awarded by DoD. Architect-Engineering Firms wishing to be considered must submit a SF 254, SF 255 and a list of previous work accomplished for the Air National Guard (ANG) in the past five years to th e Base Civil Engineer, c/o 2Lt Scott Vandenberghe, 5401 East Lake Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35217-3545, telephone number 205-714-2221. All responses must be received within 30 days of this publication in order to be considered. No other general notification t o firms under consideration for this project is made and no further action is required. If a current (less than one year old) SF 254 has previously been submitted, a letter stating so should be submitted within the above time frame to assure consideration . However, a current SF 255 and list of previous ANG work is still required. Approximate design dates are: Start - January 2005. Complete - January 2006 or 2007 or 2008. This is not a request for a proposal. Funds are not presently available for this c ontract action. Personal visits for the purpose of discussing this work are discouraged, but interviews by the selection committee will be done as part of the final selection process for this contract.
