- Description
- The project involves mitigation of the 8.5 SMA area, which is to be accomplished by construction of a perimeter levee around the area, a seepage collection canal through the middle of the area, and a 575 cfs pump station south of the residential area which will pump collected seepage into a stormwater treatment area to be located southwest of the pump station. Work is divided into a Base and 2 Options. Base Work - Includes rock excavation, dewatering and construction of S-357 pump station and the ca nal and levee in the immediate vicinity of the pump station; pump station includes four (4) 125 cfs diesel engine driven pumps and one (1) 75 cfs electric motor driven pump; pump station includes as sole source items a 50-kw Onan diesel engine-driven gener ator for backup power, and telemetry equipment for the station which includes a CISCO ethernet switch, a Motorola MOSCAD unit, microwave bridges, an Allen Bradley PLC, surveillance cameras, SCADA software, a security panel, fire alarm panels, and a DELL co mputer. Option 1 - Rock excavation for canal, Construct Seepage Canal (channel) & Interior Levees with canal invert elevation varying from ??????8.5 to ??????6.0 feet, NGVD and bottom width varying from 25 to 30 feet, interior levees 12 foot crown, 9.5 fo ot top elevation and 1:3 slopes along both sides of canal, Install 2 double barrel 10-foot diameter corrugated aluminum pipe (CAP) culverts and 2 double barrel 12-foot diameter CAP culverts, guard rails and paving and construction of Perimeter Levee with 2 0 foot crown, 10.2 top elevation and 1:3 slopes. Option 2 - Scraping of approximately 1.5 feet of STA bottom to rock, flow-way and levee construction with channel invert elevation of 4.0 feet NGVD, bottom width of 320 feet, and 1:3 slopes, levees have 12 foot crown and 1:3 slopes, STA levee construction elevation 13 feet and 1:3 slopes, construct 400 foot weir 2.5 feet above grade at the end of the flow-way and two 350 foot wide weirs at the bottom of the STA at 3.5 and 4 feet above grade and construction of a new road along flow-way. Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00. Performance Period - Base Work, 365 days; Option A, 210; and Option B, 210 days. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best va lue to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on technical, past performance and price. THIS ACQUISITION IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program.
