Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment and supplies necessary to re-construct approximately 1.1 miles of two-lane gravel road. Work includes: approximately 13,977 cubic yards (CY) of embankment in place; approximately 2,980 CY of topsoil salvage and placement; approximately 59 CY of excess excavation to be wasted on site; installation of approximately 4,321 CY of 2-inch minus pit run gravel surfacing; installation of approximately 1,710 tons of 1 inch minus crushed top surfacing gravel; installation of new HDPE corrugated plastic culvert with flared end sections (184 feet of 24 inch and 168 feet of 36 inch); removal of approximately 108 feet of existing 24 inch CMP; installation of approaches at existing approaches; installation of turnout and 100-foot diameter cul-de-sac at campground; installation of approximately 312 feet of guard rail; erosion control; and miscellaneous signing, seeding and fertilizing. The Notice to Proceed is expected to be issued July 15, 2004. The work is located in Choteau County, Montana, beginning at the north end of the Loma Bridge over the Missouri River, which is located approximately 2 miles south of Loma, Montana. This project is open to both large and small businesses under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The Government Estimate is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Bonds are required. The solicitation will be in electronic format only at http://www.fbo.gov, and will be available on or about April 29, 2004. Contractors will be required to print the bidding documents for submission of their offer at the place designated for receipt of offers for a public bid opening. Contractors must be registered or have updated their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov to be eligible to receive an award under this solicitation.
