Description
The VA Montana Healthcare System at Fort Harrison, Montana requires Mobile MRI services four days per week between Monday and Friday. Consideration will also be given if same company can provide Mobile PET Scanner services one day every other week. Contractor will provide MRI unit as well as MRI technician to provide outpaitient and inpatient MRI studies required. Contractor shall furnish all equipment, maintenance, all licenses necessary for the operation of the equipment, labor, management, supervision, transportation, teaching, reports, and consultation. Contractor shall provide service for a total of four days per week. The days will be decided by the V.A. Montana Healthcare System. Contractor will provide such service with a Phillips Intera 1.5 Tesla System or equivalant to provide same, or exceed, image quality as Phillips Intera 1.5 Tesla System. Contractor will provide MRI technologist certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with additional certification for performing MRI examinations and be experienced in Magnetic Resonance Angiography as well. The MRI machine must be capable of performing Magnetic Resonance Angiography and functional imaging capabilities with all neccessary software, hardware and power injector needed to perform bilateral-complete leg runoff and abdominal, thoracic and cervical angiography. In addition, Contractor care shall cover the range of services provided in a civilian medical treatment facility. The VA reserves the right to schedule as many exams per day as are deemed neccessary to get the workload completed in a timely fashion. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in the professional standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO). PET services would be one day every other week to include Mobile PET unit on the day the Mobile MRI unit is not providing service. Contractor will provide for all services, including FDG doses and delivery to site that are required to perform PET services. Award may or may not include Mobile PET Services option. Estimated value of the service is in excess of $1,000,000 for base year and all options.
