Description
On behalf of the Army, the Center for Military History (CMH) and in accordance with FAR 6.3, the Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W) intends to execute a commercial award under other than full and open competition - sole source basis to th e Army Historical Foundation (AHF). The FY04 Defense Appropriation bill (PL 108-87), Sec. 8133 provided the funding for the services required to solicit non-Federal donations to support the construction and operation of the National Museum of the United S tates Army at Fort Belvoir, VA. The AHF has a unique Memorandum of Agreement with the Army for the purpose of establishing philanthropic support for an Army museum in the National Capital Region. The nonseverable services are required for sixteen months. This notice is NOT a request for proposals. The Government is not going to submit a solicitation for proposals. Interested firms may email capabilities statements to Pat Denard at Patricia.Denard@hqda.army.mil. The DCC-W contracting office must receiv e capability statements no later than close of business 14 April 2004. The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer any consequential damages for any technical information provided. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement b ased upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award is anticipated on or about 30 April 2004.
