- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 , as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Purchase Request Number F1GPL140710100 is issued as a request For Quote (RFQ). Quotations that do not include prices for all requirements will not be considered. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-21 (26 Mar 04). This requirement is subject to small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334112. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has a requirement for a Quad or four way multiprocessor computer that utilizes the latest 64 bit architecture processor and a shared memory. Specifically, four (4) processors on a single mother board. These processors have been specifically constructed to work in parallel with up to eight (8) processors on a single board. This type of computer is often termed as a ?server?, but should not be confused with other configurations called servers. This computer will be used to run scientific models in support of our Radiation Belt and Space Based VLF antenna modeling programs. As it will be used solely to run scientific models, there is no requirement for Windows OS. The Linux operating systems is required to properly control the concerted use of all four processors. These items are to be delivered no later than 60 days after contract award. Deliver to Hanscom Air Force Base, MA 01731. DFARS provision 252.225-7000: Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer is considered to be the most advantageous to the Government, considering technical acceptability, and price. FAR 52.212-4 ? Contract Terms and Conditions -Commercial Items , FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items (paragraph (b) the following clauses apply: FAR 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52-222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.232-33.
