Description

Project calls for various repairs and/or complete reconstruction to various street and parking lot pavements at Dyess AFB, Texas. The project is a requirements type IDIQ contract. Work will be released to the successful contractor in work packages via individual task orders. The government reserves the right to utilize in-house forces to accomplish work on base street pavements; however, the government guarantees that all task orders for street pavement work will be awarded to the contractor, except for those instances where government in-house forces are used. Unit prices will be taken for the Base Year (year one) and ONE (1) Option Year. Work may include but is not necessarily limited to: 1) Portland cement concrete and hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement section replacement, 2) installation of asphalt overlays, 3) installation of pavement markings, 4) curbs & gutters, 5) sidewalks, 6) swales, 7) surveying, 8) ATFP barriers, and 8) pavement related work. Contract will be awarded on ?best value to Government? basis. The two evaluation factors are Past Performance and Price, with Past Performance being of significantly greater importance than Price. Therefore, the Government reserves the right to award the contract to an offeror other than the one proposing the lowest price. SIC Code is 1611. NAICS code is 237310. This solicitation will be competitive unrestricted. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 2 April 2004, via the Federal Business Opportunities web page at www.eps.gov.
