- Questions and Answers for the commercial non-maneuverable troop personnel main parachute canopy AMENDMENT 001 This combined synopsis solicitation is hereby amended as follows: The number of days that offerors shall be in the test site at Yuma, AZ has changed from five (5) to twelve (12) work days as follows: Offerors shall be at the test site location at Yuma, AZ two (2) work days prior to the first test period and for two (2) test periods of five (5) consecutive work days, for a total of twelve (12) work days at the site location. There will be a one (1) wee k break between test periods. Q 1. In the interest of providing multiple options to the Government, it is our intention to support the subject solicitation by providing responses for three different parachute systems. We request an extension from April 8, 2004 to April 20, 2004 in or der to provide the U.S. Army with fully compliant proposals that fulfill the needs of the Government. A. The proposals due date is hereby extended to April 20, 2004. Q 2. With regard to the following within the subject solicitation: Contract CLINs shall be:.......CLIN 0004 - Engineering Support - Does the Government desire an hourly billing labor rate for this CLIN? It is unclear how many hours of engineering support the Government requires, nor is there adequate information (i.e. SOW) for a contractor to estimate this CLIN. A. The Government will consider 1,000 hours billable labor rate to support ??????minor alterations?????? during testing if needed by the Government. The work effort could involve labor for engineering, fabrication worker and draftsperson. Q 3. Can I make the assumption that as the Government desires some level of support from the contractor, that it will modify an awarded contract to reflect that level of effort at a specified cost A. Yes.
