- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications 8(a) and HUBZONE relative to this 561410 North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) Code. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate determinations about potential sources only. The period of performance for the intended contract shall be a one-year base period and four-one year option periods. Responses to this notice shall include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the NAICS code and must respond to the following questions: 1) Are you considered to be a certified HUBZone firm? 2) Does your firm qualify as a small disadvantaged business? 3) If disadvantaged, specify is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? 4) Are you considered to be woman-owned or operated business? (5) Are you a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned? In addition, please provide a capability statement addressing your organization?s ability to perform as a prime contractor for the following: This is an Executive Secretariat function that is responsible for Mail and Mailing List Maintenance, Correspondence Control, and Correspondence and Speech Control activities. Typical functions performed include Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) responses, reports generation, document preparation and formatting, and document tracking for Administration on Aging (AoA). As a result of a final decision of a streamlined cost comparison study under OMB Circular A-76, the Administration on Aging, HHS, has determined that it is more cost effective to convert the current operation to the private sector. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be sent to Michele Trotter, Contracting Officer, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Program Support Center, Strategic Acquisitions Service, Division of Acquisition Management, 5600 Fishers Lane, Room 5-101, Rockville, MD 20857. Responses must be received in writing no later than 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time, April 7, 2004. No e-mail responses will be accepted. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used solely to determine if any sources are available. No source list will be developed from this announcement.
