- Description
- The Corporation For National and Community Service, a wholly owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide lodging, conference space and meals for AmeriCorps*VISTA Pre-Service Orientation and Early Service Training. This training will take place in Atlanta, GA metropolitan area, May 10-14, 2004. The group will check in on Monday, May 10, 2004 and will check out May 14, 2004. These attendees will receive information pertinent to their roles as an AmeriCorps*VISTA members and supervisors. For those participants arriving before check-in, an area should be designated for luggage storage. Six (6) large tables and a message should be set up in the assigned registration area starting at 2:00pm, May 10-14, 2004 and remaining there until conference conclusion. Sleeping rooms: (40 to 50) Double Sleeping Rooms for May 10, 2004. (40 to 50) Double Sleeping Rooms for May 11, 2004. (70 to 80) Double Sleeping Rooms for May 12, 2004. (30) Double Sleeping Rooms for May 13, 2004. Meeting space: Registration: Two (2) rectangle tables and a message board should be set up in the front of general session room each day for presenter materials. Six (6) Flip Chart Stands for May 11-12, 2004 in registration area and in each breakout room. Eight (8) Flip Chart Stands for May 13, 2004 in registration area and in each breakout room. Three (3) Flip Chart stands for May 14, 2004 in registration area and in each breakout room. Five (5) overhead projector and screen for May 11-12, 2004 in each breakout room. Seven (7) overhead projector and screen for May 13, 2004 in each breakout room. Two (2) overhead projector and screen for May 14, 2004 in each breakout room. Microphones: Two: (1) lavaliere microphone, one (1) wired microphone in the general session room May 11-14, 2004.One (1) VCR in general session room May 11, 2004. One (1) CD Player and Sound Mixer in general session May 11-14, 2004. Rental expenses for A/V equipment must be included in your proposal. Transportation: Shuttle service available to and from area airports and train stations on May 10 through 14, 2004 and parking fees at the hotel, if any. Miscellaneous: In submitting a bid for these services, please quote a price/guest/day. Only sleeping room rental, meeting room rental, and scheduled meeting costs and meal/snack costs for these guests should be included in this solicitation. Incidentals: The guests will pay personal expenses (telephone calls, room service, etc.) themselves. Special requirements: Meeting rooms and at least 25% of sleeping rooms must be accessible to physically challenged individuals. At least 25 % of the attendees at meals will be vegetarians or vegans. Federal regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the FEMA, Fire Prevention and Control guidelines and submit proof of such compliance. All proposed prices must be inclusive. For example: audio-visual rentals and the cost of food must include gratuity, if applicable. This announcement is a combined synopsis/solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 01-20. The NAICS code for this requirement is 721110 and the small business size is $5M. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition.
