For the purposes of this market survey, all respondents shall consider the following Statement of Objectives as the required capabilities and features required by USSS. Any additional enhancements that may be provided should be mentioned in your response as well. The optical switch matrix shall comply with the following technical requirements: Fiber type: Single mode, 9/125 ??m (input and output ports), Wavelength: 1550 nm, Fiber connector type: AVIO-APC or FC-APC, Number of inputs: 20 minimum, Number of outputs: 5 minimum, Switching time: 1 ms maximum (measured from the time the message is received to the time when switch has settled after opening or closing), Matrix configuration: Non-blocking, Insertion loss: 1 dB maximum, Return loss: 60 dB minimum, Crosstalk: -80 dB maximum, Input optical power (no damage): 100 mW, Computer Control: TCP/IP with a 100BaseT interface; Software command set based on the Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI), version 1999.0, Operating power: 120 VAC, 60 Hz, Operating temperature: 0?X to 50?X C, Storage temperature: -40?X to 70?X C, Humidity: 0 to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing, Dimensions: 19-inch rack-mountable, not to exceed 5U, Other: Modular design is desired for future growth, Minimum required front panel annunciations: ON/OFF, FAULT/ERROR. Mean-time-between-failure data must be made available. Please note the fact that we are merely conducting a market survey. The requested information is for planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that procurement will be issued.
