Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for Service Agreement for Data Entry Services for fiscal year 2004. Bureau of Engraving and Printing is requesting HOURLY RATES. This is a requirement to procure data entry services to sort, enter and categorize records. This data will be placed into an automated database system. These records will consist of the following programs within the Office of Administrative Services, (Parking, Public Transportation, Personal Protection Equipment, Fleet and Uniforms). PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The objective is to maintain the records in each program to be placed into the database so that the information is current and updated as required. The selected Contractor will work two eight-hour days a week not to exceed six months. The selected Contractor personnel working on the projects, in any context shall, have a Bureau of Engraving and Printing background check. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be best value. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-04-0402. Award will be made to the offer that is most advantageous to the Government, proposed cost and other factors considered such as the ability of the proposed contractor employee to perform the required tasks and the past performance of the contract. Offerors are required to submit three (3) references to include points of contact and telephone number with whom they have contracted with in the past three (3) years for similar type of work. The Government reserves the right to make award to other than low offeror. Although technical considerations is more important than cost, the closer the technical scores of the various offers to one another, the more important cost consideration becomes. All interested parties are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF1449, SF18 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, and point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification DUNS number and size status, (that is, small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). Quotations are due by 2:30 P.M. on March 29, 2004 by 2:30 P.M.
