Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Ocean Service, Charleston, SC. intends to procure a Real Time Thermal Cycling instrument with laptop to be used in a laboratory. The following are requirements needed in a Real Time Thermal Cycling instrument for the applications necessary for the laboratory: 1) Optics allowing multiple dye choices, 2) Real-time display of growth curves and temperature profiles and ability to compare runs in real-time, 3) Ability to alter all components of heating block function and real-time protocols (threshold settings, graph formats, protocols, ramp rates, melt functions, etc. 4) Multiple data analysis methods (qualitative, primary growth, second derivatives, melt analysis, etc. 5) Multiplexing with multiple controls, 6) Ability to export data into Excel and figures as JPEG, 7) Ability to independently control individual sites such that multiple protocols may be run at one time, 8) Small footprint size and controlled by a laptop due to space constraints. This instrument will be purchase under the guidelineS of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is not a small business set-aside. The NAICS Code is 334516. A copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available on or about April 19th. Request may be faxed to 816-426-7530 attn: Sharon Walker.
