Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue two sole source orders against BOA N00019-04-G-0002 with Raytheon Company in Tucson, AZ. One order will procure the materials and services necessary to integrate the PTAN Prototype in the Block IV AUR Tomahawk SIL. A separate order will procure the material and services necessary to conduct trade studies for the Tomahawk Block IV Penetrator Capability (TTPC) and Warhead Improvement. Since 1994, Raytheon has been the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Tomahawk AUR Missile. Raytheon currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapons System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Block IV Tomahawk Missile is required to perform these delivery orders, Raytheon is the only source capable of accomplishing these requirements in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
