- Description
- NASA GSFC has a requirement for Qty: 1 EA NanoFocus NanoSurf SCM: Opto-electronic 3D measurement station for non-contact measurement and analysis of surfaces profiles using Scanning Confocal Microscopy. Modular system delivered "ready to run" consisting of the following components: Dual Mode Scanning Confocal Microscope; Measurement Axes x/y-100mm (4 inch); Measurement Stand w/Granit column; System Controller; NanoSurf Controller; NanoSurf Measurement and analysis package; SolarMap 3-D Advanced Analysis & Report Generator. Qty: 1 EA On-Site installation and training Qty: 1 EA 50X Long Working Distance Lens Qty: 1 EA 100X Long Working Distance Lens NASA GSFC intends to purchase the items from Solarius Development, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA. Solarius Development is the only vendor that can provide the NanoFocus NanoSurf SCM that meets NASA GSFC requirements. The Authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on March 23, 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
