- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 and the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The following description of the requirement follows: 1. REFURBISH ANTENNA ASSEMBLY SPS-40, CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING: A) SPS-40 PEDESTAL W/TURNTABLE, P/N A1144A--DEGREASE, SANDBLAST, AND CHEMICAL FILM PER MIL?C-5541 REV. E, CLASS 1A GOLD, qty 12 EA; B) SPS-40 ANTENNA, P/N AS2519A--SANDBLAST LIGHTLY WITH ALUMINUM OXIDE TO STRIP PRIMER AND PAINT COATING, CHEMICAL FILM PER MIL-C-5541 REV E, CLASS 1A GOLD, ANTENNAS NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM MOUNTING FIXTURE, CONTRACTOR USE PROPER PRECAUTION TO AVOID DAMAGE TO ANTENNAS, qty 11 EA; C) HARDWARE (SCREWS, BOLTS, NUTS, WASHERS. ETC.)--STRIP AND CAD PLATE, qty 1 BAG; D)CHEMICAL WASTE CHARGE, qty 1 LOT. REQUIRED WORK COMPLETION DATE: JUNE 1 8, 2004. 2. REFURBISH ANTENNA ASSEMBLY SPS-10, CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING: A) SPS-10 ANTENNA REFLECTORS, P/N 615-3B1--USING 80 GRIT ALUMINUM OXIDE, SANDBLAST TO STRIP ALL PRIMER AND PAINT, CHEMICAL FILM PER MIL-C-5541 REV. E, CLASS 1A GOLD ALL REFLECTORS, USE PROPER PRECAUTION TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THIN ALUMINUM MATERIAL, qty 4 EA; B) SPS-10 PEDESTAL, P/N AS-9368- DEGREASE, MASK, SANDBLAST AND CHEMICAL FILM PER MIL-C-5541 REV. E, CLASS 1A GOLD, qty 8 EA; C) SPS-10 SPIDERS, P/N 615-1-1-- GLASS BEAD BLAST TO STRIP AND ACHIEVE UNIFORM FINISH, CAD PLATE PER AMS-QQ-P-416 7/00 TYPE II CLASS 2, qty 5 EA; D) HARDWARE (SCREWS, BOLTS, NUTS, WASHERS. ETC.)--DEGREASE AND CAD PLATE, qty 1 BAG; E) CHEMICAL WASTE CHARGE, qty 1 LOT. REQUIRED WORK COMPLETION DATE: APRIL 9, 2004. GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVE WILL DELIVER AND PICK UP BOTH ANTENNA ASSEMBLIES TO AND FROM CONTACTOR FACILITY. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N0024404T0439 is herby issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-20 and DFAR Change Notice 20040223. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System code is 332813 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being acquired for the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, CA. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express warranties shall be incl uded in the contract. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items applies as well as the following addendum clauses: FAR 52.211-5, Material Requirements. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies with the following applicable clauses for paragraph (b): FAR 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b): DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program; and DFARS 252.225-7012, Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities; and addendum provisions DFARS for Certain Domestic Commodities. OFFEROR A RE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AND INCLUDE A COPY OF THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS WITH THEIR PROPORALS: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications - Commercial Items.
