Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma, Arizona has a Commercial Item requirement for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Purchase Order for a Base Year and 2 Option Years of Stockpiling Riprap and Gravel along the Colorado River. Request for Quotation No. 04SQ340109 will be issued for this requirement. The work to be performed under these specifications may consist of blasting at quarries, processing rock into riprap, 1" - 4" material and gravel, transporting material, creating stockpiles, and stockpiling materials at Bureau of Reclamation stockpile sites along the Colorado River. The work may also include blasting at quarries and loading, hauling, weighing and placing pit run materials at the designated locations along the Colorado River. The quarries and potential stockpile locations are located in an area approximately 275 miles along the Colorado River, from Davis Dam (River Mile 275) to the Southerly International Boundary (River Mile 0), and along the Gila River from its confluence with the Colorado River (Colorado River Mile 34.2) to Highway 95. The quarries and stockpiles sites are located in Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial Counties in California; Clarke County, Nevada; and in La Paz, Mohave and Yuma Counties in Arizona. Principle features of the work that may be performed include: (a) mobilization, (b) blasting, (c) processing rock, (d) weigh processed material, (e) transport material, (f) clearing and leveling stockpile sites, (g) stockpiling material in segregated piles, (h) depositing material at slope stabilization sites, and (i) maintain all roads used. For this acquisition, North American Industrial Classification System code is 212319 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set Aside. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about March 31, 2004, and the date and time for receipt of quotes will be on or about April 28, 2004, 4:15 p.m. local time, however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The Solicitation will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov but the Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-ROM if the website becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register on the website to be included on the offerors list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the web site after March 31, 2004, in order to access the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database may make an offeror ineligible for award.
