- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB FL, intends to award a sole source task order using GSA Contract Number GS-23F-0005K to BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Incorporated, 1601 Research Boulevard, Rockville, MD, 20850-3173, (301) 738-4212 for a Ground Mobile Asset Support Team assigned to Nellis AFB, NV. Support would consist of technical support to operate and maintain a small number of highly unique foreign vehicles in an operational ready configuration and on-site management of these assets for the purpose of conducting site surveys, test and training scenario planning, asset set-up, and ensuring operational realism. These are limited-number/one-of-a-kind national assets that are critical to the operational testing and training of air and land based systems. The assets used at the deployed location are the same as those currently operated by BAE Systems at Eglin AFB, in support of the 46th Test Wing, 46th Operations Group, Munitions Test Division, under the operational control of the Joint Munitions Test & Evaluation Joint Program Office (aka CHICKEN LITTLE). Since these assets are foreign built, and do not have readily available documentation for operations and maintenance, the team must be able to operate and maintain these assets with the expertise necessary to preserve the inherent physical characteristics of each system in according with using country practices. In addition, team members need a thorough understanding of the using-country?s employment tactics. Technical support as well as the tactical employment understanding needs to apply to the suite of assets assigned to Nellis AFB at the start of this contract, as well as a have a thorough understanding of other assets in the CHICKEN LITTLE fleet that could be available for deployment to Nellis AFB if required by testing or training requirement. Contract support is envisioned to consist of one 1-year period of performance, followed by one 6-month option, for a total of 18 months. The option would be exercised based on the level of testing and training demand for the assets made available for testing and training use. This will be a Time & Material (T&M) contract. Information associated with this effort is classified up to, and including, SECRET. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541330 ($23 million). If you feel you can provide this service, please provide your qualifications and experience, and indicate if you are a large or small business based on the NAICS Code. Send all information to AAC/PKZB, Attn: Leigh Ann Gunter, 205 West D Ave, Suite 433 Building 350, Eglin AFB, FL 32542-6862, (850)882-0183 or by e-mail at leigh.gunter@eglin.af.mil. NOTE 22 APPLIES.
