- Government Testing Invitation for Global Positioning System Receiver Application Module (GRAM) SEM-E Selective Availability Anti Spoofing Module (SAASM) Enhanced Direct Y-Code (D-Y code) This is a Request for Information (RFI) and/or Sources Sought Synopsis. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego (SSC SD) has been tasked by the SPAWAR PMA-156 (in support of Navy?s Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and operational requirement) to study and investigate the ?current and future technology availability that meets or will meet the Navy?s threshold and objective performance requirements?. The results of this Enhanced D-Y code study will be utilized as a reference document in our decision-making process in establishing a good viable Navy Operational Document (ORD.) This study will not generate any procurement obligation from the government. The study will be conducted IAW the attached document. Information Format: Potential equipment suppliers are requested to submit an Information Statement not more than three (3) pages long that describes their equipment and it?s capabilities related to our stated areas of interest above. Purpose: Information obtained as a result of this announcement will be used to select potential equipment to be demonstrated and/or tested at SSC SD test facilities. The government does not plan to purchase equipment for the tests and participation in the demonstrations/tests is voluntary. Testing will enable data collection for performance analysis IAW the attached testing plan. This sources sought announcement does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, to procure any equipment. The Information Statements to be submitted are not expected to be proposals and will be used for technical planning purposes only. A solicitation is not planned at this time. The Government also invites comments related to possible purchase or acquisition strategies. Please include in your responses all existing contract vehicles (including GSA contracts) for your equipment. All data received in response to this sources sought announcement that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. It is not the intent of the government to reimburse vendors for the cost of submitting information in response to this RFI. The Information Statements are due no later than 4:00 P.M. local time on 5 April 2004 and should be submitted electronically to the POC e-mail address or two complete sets of hardcopy materials may be submitted to the office address identified elsewhere in this synopsis. Target date for notification of vendors selected for the demonstrations/testing is 19 April 2004. Additional information necessary for the demonstrations will be provided at the time of notification.
