Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, THCB, Division of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD)Prevention, has developed curricula for two data management courses (Applied Epi Info for Occupational Use (AEIOU) and Surveillance, Epidemiology, Data Management into Action (SEDACTION) to address needs identified for state and local STD surveillance coordinators, operations managers, and program managers. These courses are designed to help state and local STD program personnel learn how to manage and analyze data, develop and interpret data reports, identify needs, and propose actions to help prevent and control the spread of STD. Contract assistance is needed for the efficient delivery of these courses. The period of performance is for 12 months. Evaluation and selection will be made based on minimum requirements as follows: (1) Knowledge of and experience with STD surveillance programs and personnel that provides sufficient background to address the learning objectives described in the scope of work section, (2) Strong written and oral communication skills; (3) Experience and skill in designing curriculum and delivering training on public health data management; (4) Strong background in public health epidemiology, database programming, and statistical analysis; (5) Experience and skill using the following software: Epi Info 6.04D, STD*MIS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less then $100,000. The entire scope of work, requirements and evaluation factors are addressed in the solicitation This procurement is being issued unrestricted. Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 2004-Q-01221 will be issued on or after March 16, 2004, and proposals will be due April 9, 2004. No telephone requests will be accepted.
