Description

Architectural-Engineering Services (NAICS 541310) to design upgrades for the Lava Lands Visitor Center which is located approximately 10 miles south of Bend Oregon along US Highway 97 in Deschutes County Oregon and within the Deschutes National Forest. Work includes planning, analysis, design and contract preparation for the interior remodel; exhibit design and layout of the existing 3,800 SF main visitor center; the upgrade of the attached 1,300 SF restroom facility to meet current ADA standards; the addition of 160 SF to the existing office space; and a new 1,100 SF Presentation Hall addition. The original HVAC and associated electrical system are beyond their service life, the interior displays, equipment, hardware and finishes are either outdated, not working, or do not meet current codes, regulations, or project objectives. Work includes the planning, analysis, design and contract preparation for the removal and replacement of outdated HVAC equipment, exhibits, mechanical and electrical parts and equipment, fixtures, hardware and finishes. Also included is a structural/architectural design solution to correct undersize roof beams in the ?breezeway? area. Firms desiring consideration must submit completed SF-254?s and SF-255?s for this project not later than close of business March 17, 2004. SF-255?s should reflect education and/or experience in addition to current licensing status within the state of Oregon for key persons, specialists, and individual consultants anticipated for this project. Firms responding to this notice shall be evaluated as to their suitability for the project based on information supplied and any other performance data on file with the agency. Firms selected for subsequent discussions leading to a contract award shall be in accordance with Public Law 92-582. Work is estimated to start May 3, 2004 and be completed within 270 calendar days. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed procurement is 100 percent set aside for small business concerns.
