Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FU441740511000 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-20. This solicitation is 100 percent set-aside for Small Businesses and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 334111, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Hurlburt Field intends to have a contractor furnish the following Computer Peripheral items; equal items may be submitted, but must be accompanied by sufficient product literature: 116 each Pocketec DataStor 60GB Pockey External USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive, part# 828 or equal. Features: HI speed 480 mb.second (USB 2.0 speeds), compatible plug and play hot-swappable and hot-pluggable features with DOS level support. USB 2.0 Certified with transfer rate up to 480 Mbps (40x faster than US 1.1); Backwards compatible with USB 1.1; Cross-platform compatible (PC, MAC, and Linux); Plug-N-Play (drives not required for Windows 2000/ME/XP and Macintosh OS10.1); HARDWARE SPECIFICATIONS: Dimensions: 5in L x 3in W x 1/2in H; Access Time: 12ms; Transfer Rate: up to 16 MB/s; Interface: USB 2.0 (compatible with USB 1.1) includes 27.5 inc cable; MTBF: 300,000 power on hours; Shock: 150 G 2mS (operating), 700 G 2mS, 120 G 11mS (non-operating); Weight: 5.5 Ounces. PACKAGE CONTAINS: Pockey USB 2.0 Drive, USB Connection Cable, Users Manual, CD-ROM installation disk (required for Windows 98/98se and MAC OS 8.10.0), Free Slim line carrying case. Please remember that all above-mentioned items are on an Or-Equal Basis. Also include shipping and handling. Required delivery shall be on or before 30 days after receipt of award. The following clauses and provisions are hereby incorporated either by reference or full text and are to remain in full force and effect in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (Jan 2004). It applies to this acquisition and is amended to read: FAR clauses and provisions can be located via the Internet at: http//: www.farsite.hill.af.mil. Submit signed and dated quotations on company letterhead or quotation form. The Government reserves the right to evaluate proposals and award a contract without discussions with offerors. FAR 52.212-2 (Jan 1999), Evaluation-Commercial Items is included. The award will be made to the lowest evaluated cost (price) offer that meets all the minimum mandatory criteria in the solicitation; meaning the lowest offer which submits a proposal meeting the salient characteristics of the afore mentioned requirement. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Jan 2004), with the quotation. The clause at FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (31 U.S.C. 3332) (Oct 2003) applies to this acquisition and is incorporated by reference. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items (Jan 2004) applies to this acquisition and is incorporated by reference.
