Description
The Navy requires fabrication and assembly of bead seat assemblies. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis with Enterprise Fabrications Equipment Corporation, based on FAR 6.302-1; ‘Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements’. This will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract covering a five-year ordering period. There will be a minimum of 3 units and a maximum of 15 units ordered. Delivery orders are planned on an annual basis for three sets per year with a delivery schedule of 7 months for the first set, and an additional set at the end of the 9th month and 11th month. The Contractor shall maintain a quality system that, as a minimum, adheres to the requirements of ANSI/ASQC Q9001 – 1994. The quality assurance requirements shall apply equally to the Contractor’s subcontractors. Inspection and acceptance will be at origin with an acceptance period of 10 days. The assemblies shall be shipped in place and stored at the contractor’s facility pending shipping instructions from the PCO. The Contractor shall develop, operate, manage, and maintain the production, fabrication, assembly and inspection facilities required for the production of bead seat assemblies, in accordance with (IAW) the Statement of Work. The Contractor shall fabricate and assemble the bead seat assemblies IAW the Technical Data Package and the Statement of Work. The Technical Data Package is defined by the drawings and all documents referenced by the list drawings. A letter RFP will be issued to the sole source contractor only.
